The Contested Nature of Sustainable Development - A Philosophical Critique

While sustainable development appears to be genrally accepted as a cornerstone of government policy world wide there appears to be little consensus as to what the terms mean.  I propose to examine some of the caveats inherent in the concept and discuss the implications of the theoretical and practical maze it has generated.
